Over 24 vehicles passed through the priority section of the Bar-Boljara highway, from Smokovac to Mateševo, in the first 18 hours, it was announced on the Government's Twitter account.
The priority section of the highway was ceremonially opened on Wednesday, while it was opened to traffic on Thursday.
The toll will not be charged until July 21, after which it will be 1,5 euros for motorbikes, 3,5 euros for passenger cars, and 17 euros for trucks and buses.
The priority section of the highway is 41,5 kilometers long, has 20 bridges on the main route and nine on loop ramps, two overpasses, eight underpasses, 7,2 kilometers of concrete walls and 16 double-tube tunnels.
The section has four interchanges, with toll ramps, on which the highway is connected to the existing state, namely - Smokovac, Pelev Brijeg, Veruša and Mateševo.
The maximum speed is limited to 100 kilometers per hour
