Part of the former employees of "Radoj Dakić", 554 of them, can expect payment of their almost complete claims only after other groups of workers, who are dissatisfied with the recent decision of the Commercial Court, have exhausted their legal options before the Court of Appeal.
This was confirmed to "Vijesta" by the bankruptcy trustee in this proceeding Mladen Marković, who said that the Commercial Court adopted a standard procedure, after which he expects the lawyers of the other workers to appeal the two decisions made on July 20 by the judge of the Commercial Court Dragan Vucevic, which refer to two groups of former employees of "Radoj Dakić" and their heirs, confirming Marković's decision of March 24 this year on the payment of money.
Creditors from other groups, whose appeal was rejected by this decision, have the possibility to appeal to the Appellate Court within eight days of receiving the decision.
One of the representatives of the group of 354 workers confirmed to "Vijesta" that this will be done by their lawyer Radovan Jovanovic. He claims that there is enough money in the account of "Radoj Dakić" to pay all the workers.
He also stated that they have not yet received compensation of 2.000 euros each for non-material damages due to the violation of constitutionally guaranteed rights to property and to a trial, because, as he said, the Constitutional Court has been avoiding making decisions for years.
He expects that this will change after the Parliament elects the members of the Constitutional Court, and that he will strike if the opposite happens.
A little less than ten million euros is needed to pay these two groups of workers. Marković sold the factory's land for a total of 16,6 million euros. The sale of another large plot for which there is a buyer is also underway. This would mean that the remaining creditors could soon be paid once all the legal actions are completed.
