Average earnings without taxes and contributions in July, according to Monstat data, amounted to 714 euros, which is 0,8 percent more than in June.
Compared to the same month last year, the average net salary in July increased by 34,7 percent.
The average gross salary in July was 881 euros.
"If it is taken into account that consumer prices rose by 1,5 percent in July compared to June, it follows that real earnings for the same period recorded a drop of 0,7 percent," the announcement states.
By sector of activity, average net earnings in July increased in comparison to June in the sectors of health and social protection by eight percent, accommodation and food services by 2,8 percent, education by 2,6 percent, other service activities by 2,2 percent, manufacturing industry by 1,6 .1,6 percent, as well as financial and insurance activities XNUMX percent.
Growth was observed in the construction sectors by 1,5 percent, wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles by 1,3 percent, administrative and auxiliary service activities by one percent, information and communications, artistic entertainment and recreational activities by 0,3 percent, professional, scientific and technical activities 0,2 percent and transport and storage 0,1 percent.
The decrease in average net earnings in July compared to June was recorded in the mining and quarrying sectors by 6,1 percent, agriculture, forestry and fishing by 4,2 percent, real estate business by 3,2 percent, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by three percent, state administration and defense: mandatory social insurance 2,4 percent and water supply, waste water management, process control, waste removal and similar activities 1,2 percent.
