The municipality of Pljevlja announced a call for co-financing of medically assisted fertilization

The municipality of Pljevlja announced for the first time a public call for co-financing the costs of medically assisted reproduction (MPO) for this year, as one of the measures to increase the birth rate in the territory of the municipality of Pljevlja.

The right to participate in the public invitation is granted to partner beneficiaries, at least one of whom has the citizenship of Montenegro, that one of the partners resides in the territory of the municipality of Pljevlja for at least two years before the date of publication of the public invitation, that the MPO procedure is the only way to achieve pregnancy and that are in the course of the MPO procedure until the day of the conclusion of the public call.

The Secretariat for Social Activities of the Municipality of Pljevlja allocated 2022 euros in the budget for 20.000 to co-finance the costs of the MPO procedure this year.

Beneficiaries who can no longer obtain the funds for the MPO procedure at the expense of the Health Insurance Fund, and want to obtain it as parents, will receive up to 80 percent of the costs, and a maximum of 2.000 euros according to the attached invoices, if they do this procedure in Montenegro and abroad up to 60 percent of the costs, and a maximum of 4.000 euros according to the attached invoices.

Beneficiaries who are in the MPO procedure at the expense of the Health Insurance Fund in the amount of up to 500 euros according to the attached invoices.

Funds for co-financing the costs for the MPO procedure can be obtained by users only after all MPO attempts have been used at the expense of the Health Insurance Fund of Montenegro.

Interested applications can be submitted by November 1 to the archives of the Civil Bureau of the Municipality of Pljevlja.

The President of the Municipality of Pljevlja formed the Commission for the distribution of funds for the co-financing of the costs of the MPO for 2022, which will consider the received applications and, if necessary, conduct an interview with the applicant. The decision on the distribution of the planned funds will be made within 30 days from the end of the public call.
