The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey in Ankara hosted a two-day meeting of the Joint Commission on International Road Traffic between Turkey and Montenegro, where the development and improvement of cooperation was discussed.
The Ministry of Capital Investments announced that the Montenegrin delegation was led by the Acting General Director for Road Traffic and Vehicle Homologation, Miloš Rajković, while the Turkish delegation was led by the Director General of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Murat Basor.
"Considering that this is the first meeting of the Joint Commission on international road transport between the two countries, since the entry into force of the Agreement between the governments of Montenegro and Turkey on the carriage of passengers and cargo in international road transport, signed in Cetinje on December 11, 2009 ., it was mostly about development, improvement of cooperation, as well as future plans in this area," the announcement states.

The main topic of discussion was related to the annual quotas of permits for the transport of cargo in road transport that the countries exchange.
"At the request of the Montenegrin delegation to increase the annual quota of permits, the Turkish side is ready to increase the number of permits, and on this occasion it was agreed that 125 permits for the transport of cargo to/from a third country will be exchanged annually in the future period", it is stated in announcement.
Also, on this occasion, the liberalization of cargo transit transport and bilateral transport with a full vehicle was confirmed.

The Montenegrin delegation included the head of the Directorate for Road Traffic Bojan Radoman, adviser for road traffic Ilda Ljuca, director of the Transport Sector of the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) Zoran Nikolić, Ambassador of Montenegro to Turkey Periša Kastratović and adviser at the Embassy of Montenegro in Turkey Dragan Krivokapić.
