A total of 21 vehicles passed through the section of the Podgorica - Mateševo highway from the start of toll collection on July 8 to October 711, according to data from the Monteputa company.
The largest number of vehicles passed through this section on August 7 - 14.325, while last week the number of passing on weekdays was around five thousand and on weekends around seven thousand.
The price of the toll for passing through the entire section, with value added tax (VAT) of 21 percent, amounts from 1,5 euros for motorcycles, 3,5 euros for passenger vehicles to 17 euros for trucks and buses.
Which means that for the past 80 days, as much as tolls are charged, a little over two million euros have been generated.
The annual installment for the loan used for its construction amounts to 60 million euros. The most optimistic estimates show that Monteput could earn about 10 million euros annually from toll collection.
The highway was officially opened on July 13, the National Day, and its use was free for the first seven days. For the next two years, it is in so-called trial operation, when defects can be reported by contractors to the Chinese company CRBC.
Its construction lasted seven years, two months and three days, instead of the four years that had been predicted.
The Minister of Capital Investments, Ervin Ibrahimović, announced that in 2024 or 2025, a tender can be expected for the contractor for the next section Mateševo - Andrijevica.
