At the end of last year, the Revenue and Customs Administration (UPC) collected EUR 86,19 million in tax debt through a reprogram made possible by a special law from 2017, while a total of EUR 148,46 million was due.
These are data from the audit of last year's final state account, which the State Audit Institution (DRI) published two days ago.
The SAI explained that in accordance with a special law from 2017, the collection of tax debt was postponed for 7.064 taxpayers whose principal debt was 162,12 million.
"Out of 7064 decisions on the rescheduling of tax claims, 6749 decisions on rescheduling were recorded in the tax information system or 150.92 million tax claims, while 315 decisions on rescheduling were not recorded in the tax information system or 11,19 million tax claims. From the beginning of the implementation of the tax claim reprogram until December 31.12.2021, 148.46. 86,19 million due in total, and XNUMX million collected. "Due to incomplete records, it was not possible to determine the type of revenue collected for unrealized solutions," the report emphasized.
In the report of the SAI, it was stated that until December 31, 2016, the UPC issued 1857 decisions on the cancellation of decisions on reprogramming, of which 249 were recorded in the information system, while XNUMX cancellation decisions were not recorded.
"In order to present the exact state of the tax debt, it is necessary for the UPC to record decisions on the cancellation of the decision on reprogramming and to present additional information with a detailed explanation related to the reprogramming in the final tax invoice. It is necessary for the UPC to continue with the implementation of activities in order to determine the actual state of the tax debt with the state authorities", said the SAI.
Last year, at the proposal of the Government, the Parliament adopted a new law on the reprogramme of tax claims, which will be valid for five years and which has almost the same solutions as in 2017.
According to the latest data that the UPC announced to "Vijesti" from mid-September to September 4, they passed 4.196 decisions on reprogramming, the total amount of which is 94,56 million euros, and that amount is 81,73 million of the basic debt, while the interest is 12,82 million.
