Minister of Finance Aleksandar Damjanović said that they conservatively planned budget revenues due to all the developments on the global market.
"Not a single cent is planned without a legal basis. We will not change tax rates. Wage growth will follow the rate of inflation, so we will preserve the living standards of citizens," said Damjanović at a press conference dedicated to the 2023 budget proposal.

Damjanović said that they allocated a total of 10 million euros to the Compensation Fund, that is, 7,5 million more than this year, in order to speed up the payment of debt to citizens whose property was confiscated based on restitution.
"The total debt on this basis is 80 million euros," said Damjanović.
He also said that next week there will be negotiations with the unions on salary increases.
Damjanović said that he expects the support of the parliamentary majority for the budget proposal.
