The President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, today presented the companies Hemosan, Zetagradnja, Fly Montenegro Ground Handling, Trebjesa and Crnogorski Telekom, as well as the executive director of the Casa del Mare hotel group, Nikola Milić, with the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) award.
The award for successful business last year went to Hemosan from Bar in the category of micro and small enterprises, Zetagradnja in the category of medium and large enterprises and Fly Montenegro Ground Handling in the category of enterprises owned by women.
The company Trebjesa received the award for social responsibility, and Telekom for innovation. Milić was presented with an award for management improvement.
For six decades now, the PKCG award has been a prestigious recognition highlighting the valuable achievements of Montenegrin entrepreneurs in the categories of successful business, social responsibility, innovation and management improvement.
The president of PKCG, Nina Drakić, congratulated all the awardees on the results they achieved, which earned them the award.
"I am convinced that this will only be an additional incentive for their upward journey towards further success," said Drakić.
She promised that PKCG will continue to contribute to the improvement of the business environment, which will be sufficiently stimulating for business development, new investments and the realization of business ideas.
Đukanović announced at the award ceremony in Villa Gorica that we must continue without compromise and that belonging to the European Union (EU) is not a symbolic goal, but a painstaking process of adopting fundamental European values and dedicatedly reaching standards that will make us competitive.
"With successful examples like today's laureates, we will best break the prejudices that Montenegrin companies cannot stand up to foreign competition. Montenegro is small, but there is no reason why we should not be as successful in business as we are in other areas," said Đukanović.
He concluded that he will continue the reform policy and integration with the EU and the region.
