At today's session, the government approved the Bill on Amendments to the Personal Income Tax Act, which exempts certain categories from paying this tax.
State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Agron Ibrahimi, said that the proposed amendments to the law provide that self-employed people, i.e. digital nomads, will be exempted from paying this tax, while income tax will not be paid by beneficiaries for the compensation they receive for newborns.
In addition, these categories will be exempted from paying the mandatory social security contribution.
In addition, it was proposed to describe in more detail the right to exemptions from paying the same tax that can be exercised by the beneficiary of incentive measures for development, research and innovation.
