Solari 5000+ project is launched

Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) will announce tomorrow a public call for participation in the Solari 5000+ (70MW) project, for individuals and legal entities to install photovoltaic systems with a power of up to 1000 kilowatts.

The value of the project, as Milutin Đukanović, president of the EPCG Board of Directors, said at the press conference, is 70 million euros, and applications can be submitted until January 31.

According to Đukanović, part of the public was skeptical when the implementation of the Solari 3000 + and 500 + project started, but the results disproved them.

"Every day there are more and more interested people, we visited about 1500 consumers and there are already over 20 megawatt power plants that meet the technical conditions. That is why we are now starting on time with new projects, because we need to provide funds and equipment. We expect that in the next two months finish the project 3000+ and 500+ and that we will provide funds for 5000+", said Đukanović.

According to him, their goal is to install photovoltaic systems with a total power of 200 megawatts in the coming period, and already for the second half of next year, he announces the 10000 + project and the installation of photovoltaic systems with a power of up to 100 megawatts.

"The documentation has already been handed over to the relevant ministry so that we can apply to European investment funds. In those cases, the procedure is longer, but we would receive certain subsidies and benefits," Đukanović pointed out.

The positive effects of the 5000+ project are, as announced at the press conference, both from the financial aspect for households, the economy, individuals and EPCG, as well as from the aspect of the expectations of the international community in order to reduce the emission of harmful gases and increase the use of renewable energy sources.

"The future user of the project is given the opportunity to install a suitable photovoltaic system and repay it in equal monthly amounts through a credit arrangement provided by EPCG, for a maximum period of up to ten years, in the amount of their average monthly electricity bill. EPCG will provide future owners of photovoltaic systems and a discount in the amount of 20 percent of the contracted value of the investment. In this way, the user in the project becomes the owner of a small solar power plant, whose capacity is designed to approximately (or completely) meet his needs for electricity," EPCG explained.

After conquering the technology in the construction of photovoltaic systems, Elektroprivreda announced that they will also go to flat areas, so-called barren land. ie stone sea.

According to Mir Vračar, the chief financial director of EPCG, the trade deficit in the import and export of electricity was 90 million euros, and the reasons are both movements on the world market and the hydrological situation. According to him, they managed to correct the deficit.
