As today's agenda includes the Proposal for Amendments to the Decision on the Salaries of Local Civil Servants and State Employees in the Capital City, which refers to the increase in salary allowances, Vuković reminded that this is not the first time that salaries have been increased in the Capital City system, but that it represents continuity of care for employees.

"In the previous period, we increased the salaries of our colleagues from the administration with the lowest incomes, as well as colleagues from companies who do the most difficult jobs in the system," said Vuković.

The current city administration led a responsible fiscal policy, which resulted, among other things, in the fact that the budget was increased by 75,37 percent compared to 2018, while the capital budget was increased by 232,47 percent for the same period.

The Secretary for Finance, Snežana Popović, reminded that the budget for the next year planned the implementation of projects in the field of road infrastructure in the amount of 12,73 million euros, landscaping of public areas in the amount of 6,82 million, culture and sports in the amount of 4,16 million, improvement of the communal infrastructure and continuation of the modernization of the work of city undertakings in the amount of 5,26 million, social care in the amount of 4,43 million, and support to the undertakings in the amount of 435 thousand euros.

"In this way, the prerequisites will be created for, in addition to the realization of regular obligations and the continuation of high-quality maintenance of the city's infrastructure, the continuation of the construction of the Vili Brant boulevard and the boulevard towards Tuzi will be successfully completed, and the prerequisites will be created for the start of the project to transform Vojislavljevića Street into a boulevard-type thoroughfare," he adds. in the announcement.

Among other things, the prerequisites for the arrangement of public areas and the creation of additional contents - promenades, squares and parks - have been created.
