Prime Minister in technical mandate Dritan Abazović said that several steps need to be taken in order for Montenegro to become one of the 75 countries that currently have the full package of PayPal services.
Abazović announced this after a conversation with the vice president of PayPal, Richard Nash, about the development of additional services for citizens and businesses in Montenegro.
Abazović and Neš met in Davos, as part of the World Economic Forum.
The service of receiving money through a PayPal account is not yet available to Montenegrin citizens, although this world-famous online payment service has been present in Montenegro since June 2014.
Only the PayPal payment function is enabled in Montenegro.
Due to the impossibility of receiving money through PayPal, the citizens of Montenegro have less chance to earn money on the Internet.
Also, that service would make it easier to send money from abroad to Montenegro, and commissions would be lower. For investors, the possibility of receiving money via PayPal would open the door to the global market.
