The company "Pomorski sabražić" from Kamenari, which by the decision of the Board of Directors of JP Morsko dobro (JPMD) of February 15 of this year, the legal basis on which it had been carrying out the activity of ferrying passengers and vehicles on the Kamenari-Lepetane line since 2004, was terminated, it announced today that she is exposed to harassment and persecution by that company and the state.
They announced that because of everything that is happening with the takeover of the only ferry line in the country by the Maritime Authority, in violation of the provisions of the Maritime Transport contract with that company, which the Board of Directors of JPMD unilaterally declared to have "ceased to be valid", they will initiate not only court cases for compensation of damages, but that they will also criminally prosecute those who made illegal decisions and threatened safety at sea.
Six ferries of "Pomorski sabražba" stopped plying on the line across the Veriga strait for 24 hours on Friday. Since Saturday morning, it has been maintained by a small ferry-boat "Vasilije" which the company Morsko do got on free rent from the hydro-construction company "Briv Construction" from Kotor, in which "Vasilije" served as a vessel for the past 14 years. for transportation of construction machinery and equipment.
By the way, "Vasilije" was built in 1978 in Kraljevica as the "Borik" ferry for Rijeka's "Jadrolinija", and this ship has a capacity of only 20 passenger cars, which is why it cannot even come close to meeting the demand to replace six larger Pomorski ferries on the Kamenari-Lepetane line. of traffic that are connected to the operational coast of the pier in Kamenari and Lepetani from Friday at midnight.
"The sad pictures that we have witnessed in the past few days at the ferry crossing in the Bay of Kotor testify to the frivolous and unplanned actions of the Government in the technical mandate. Those same pictures clearly expose the motive of the lightning "action" of the Government and JPMD, which is certainly not a high-quality and safe service for citizens. The ferry hired by the JPMD to support the chicanery and persecution of the previous operator is in such a state that the gliding of Blaž Rađenović through the bay, unfortunately, can also end tragically," said the company "Pomorski sabražić", which is owned by businessmen from Podgorica. brothers Dejan and Dušan Ban and their business partner Željko Mihailović.
"Marine Traffic" stated that "daily pictures recorded by users of the improvised ferry carrier, which are published on social networks, are a confirmation of the superficial and improvised game of the state with a serious activity that carries with it great operational risks".
"It is obvious that in just one day the ship "Vasilije" caused an avalanche of panic in the JPMD, which will surely gain even greater intensity when "Vasilie" is joined by two maternal brothers, two traveling graves from fraternal Croatia. We remind you that on Friday, February 17, before the end of working hours, we received the decision of the JPMD to terminate the contract and a proposal to specify the offer for the sale of our employees and our ferries. The deadline for statements is Tuesday! As if we should offer market goods that just need to be brought to the counter. It's an understatement to say it's a shame", they said from "Pomorski sabraže", noting that despite the deadline they set themselves and without waiting to receive a response from that company as the previous operator of the line, "from JPMD they bombarded the public, inviting employees from our company to "to change club colors" and to apply for employment".
By the way, Morsko Dobro does not have its own crew either for "Vasilij" or for the two ferries whose urgent procurement from Croatia was announced by the leaders of that state-owned company in the past two days. Therefore, the day before yesterday, the management of the JPMD officially invited the employees of the company "Pomorski sabrojka", "who are engaged in the performance of maritime and coastal passenger transport activities", to apply for employment in that public company. "Maritime Traffic" reacted to this yesterday with an "important notice" to its employees and called on them to be thoughtful in making decisions about a possible change of employer.
"Regarding the employees, an important notice: the company "Marine Transport" has enough funds that we have planned, counting on this type of scenario, so that they do not have to make hasty decisions. Very specifically - even in the worst case scenario for the company and its business, "Marine Transport" guarantees its employees at least six months of peaceful sleep. Therefore, make decisions slowly and thoughtfully. Offers through the portal and the press are not a guarantee of seriousness and responsibility", the company stated, adding that "the intention of fraud is more than clear".
As they pointed out, "Marine Transport" will not only lead a commercial dispute with JPMD because of what happened on the only ferry line in the country.
"And how we will deal with the criminal-legal responsibility of the makers of violent decisions, and in that we will not forget the evident problems of navigation safety at sea", promised the company that was until recently the operator of the Kamenari-Lepetane ferry line.
