According to the former workers of the "Radoje Dakić" factory, a great injustice was committed, which is why the state must help them to fully collect their claims as soon as possible, announced from Prava Montenegro.
"A great injustice was done to the former workers of Radoje Dakić, because they have been waiting for more than a decade for the payment of their long-earned salaries and other claims. The state must therefore help the workers in the shortest possible time to fully collect their claims", announced from Prava Montenegro.
The president and general secretary of Prava Montenegro, Marko Milačić and Aleksandra Deletić, met in the Assembly with former workers of that factory, who presented him with the problems they face due to unpaid claims.
Prava said that "Radoje Dakić", which employed around 1997 thousand workers in 1,8, was another large factory that the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) managed to destroy.
"It was the largest factory for the production of construction machinery in the former Yugoslavia and among the largest in Europe. "The construction machines produced in this factory were exported to Germany, Austria, Poland, Russia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, Iran, Syria, Cuba and Guinea," the announcement states.
Former factory workers have been protesting unpaid claims since 2009.
"The claim collection process took so long that as many as 800 workers died in the meantime, and they did not receive payment. The assets of the factory were sold for 40 million euros, but only a small part of the workers' claims were collected in the amount of about ten million euros, while they have been waiting for the payment of the rest of the claims for years," the statement added.
One of the workers of the former Machine Factory, Dragan Asanović, said that the workers are beginning to suspect that their money is being illegally disposed of and thus making it impossible for them to settle.
He announced that he has so far managed to collect only 33 percent of his claims and that the workers of the former Machine Factory are owed between 20 thousand and 40 thousand euros.
According to Asanović, last year the Ćupić law office objected to the distribution of money to the former employees of Radoj Dakić from the Fabrika mašina (assembly) and Transmisija (mechanical) plants, thus delaying the settlement of their claims.
Asanović added that their interest, which was awarded by the court in 2016, was waived for no reason, and that various duties were added to them during the payment of part of the money, which should not be done, because they won a court case against the state.
