The Montenegrin Association of Employers has submitted an initiative to launch an extraordinary inspection of the work of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare.
"We turned to the Ministry of Public Administration, because we no longer had a single legal mechanism at our disposal to initiate these activities," the statement of the Montenegrin Association of Employers states.
They emphasize that in order to reaffirm the social dialogue in the country, in accordance with the expectations of international institutions and the EU, in the previous period they launched a series of initiatives towards the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare.
They add that they have repeatedly called on the Ministry to review the representativeness of employers' representatives in the Social Council - the Union of Employers of Montenegro -, and "raised the initiative to amend the current legal regulation, which represents legal nonsense, and is a key prerequisite for the institutional foundation of the Social Council".
"In response to all these initiatives, the Ministry remains silent or simulates an activity that does not produce any results, so that the situation, one year later, is exactly the same or even worse," CUP concluded.
