The Director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community, Artur Lorkowski, will visit Montenegro at the end of April, in order to participate in the Western Balkans ESG Summit, which will be held from April 26 to 28 in Porto Montenegro.
"We are pleased to announce Lorkowski as a plenary speaker at the Western Balkans ESG Summit, which will open with a high-level discussion on the imperative of transition to renewable energy sources, the challenges of the energy crisis and the potential of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, where the Energy Community is one from key actors", said the representatives of Sustineri Partners, who are behind the development of the central event on ESG standards and fair energy transition in the region.
Lorkowski is an experienced diplomat with extensive experience in managing processes in the field of energy security and climate change. His work at the Secretariat of the Energy Community is focused on expanding the internal energy market and ensuring affordable and clean energy for the population of Southeast Europe and the Black Sea region.
"Lorkowski is known for his commitment to the integration of energy markets in the Western Balkans region. Through close cooperation with all relevant partners, including government agencies, energy companies, non-governmental organizations and civil society, Lorkowski strives to ensure the successful implementation of reforms in the energy sector and the promotion of sustainable development in the entire region," the summit organizers added in the announcement.
Lorkowski should meet with leaders in the energy sector of the region, and send key messages about the direction of the energy transition for the Western Balkans.
