The third International Tourism Fair in Banja Luka opened today, and at the opening ceremony, the Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation of Republika Srpska Zlatan Klokić, the Mayor of Banja Luka Draško Stanivuković and the Vice President of Nikšić Municipality Zoran Tomić welcomed the attendees.
Tomić pointed out that Nikšić is a partner of this year's fair manifestation in the town on Vrbas and expressed the hope that the Tourism Fair is the beginning of good relations between the two cities.
He reminded that Nikšić already has good cooperation with Bileća, Trebinje and Foča.
"There is room for cooperation in the field of tourism, culture, but also economy", said Tomić and expressed hope that activities in this direction will be intensified in the coming period.
He invited the citizens of Banja Luka, as well as other cities, to visit Nikšić and see what the city under Trebjes has to offer, as well as the people of Nikšić to visit Banja Luka and Republika Srpska.
This year's Tourism Fair in Banja Luka, which lasts until March 12, gathered over 110 exhibitors and more than 300 participants from the countries of the region, as well as from Greece and Turkey.
On the first day of the Fair, an agreement was signed on the cooperation of tourism organizations Nikšić and Banja Luka.
"The booth of the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Nikšić was visited by numerous visitors of the Fair, among them Minister Klokić and the Mayor of Banja Luka Stanivuković. On this occasion, they were presented with special gifts," said the Municipality of Nikšić.
Oguz Kilic, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Banja Luka, attended the ceremonial opening of the Fair.
