The Assembly adopted amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, which provides that the remaining former workers of the Aluminum Plant (KAP), who have not yet exercised that right, will be able to retire on more favorable terms.
The amendment stipulates that the insured person whose employment in the metal processing and mining industry sector has ended due to the suspension of production caused by the shutdown or closure of production capacities due to economic and technological problems in business, acquires the right to a pension if he has completed 25 years of insurance service or has at least 15 years of effective carried out in workplaces where in the sector of the metal processing and mining industry the length of insurance is calculated with an increased duration.
The right to an old-age pension in accordance with this amendment can be exercised until June 30 of this year.
The law was adopted under an urgent procedure.
