The professional and practical training of future economists in the umbrella state financial institution represents an investment in a better economic future, that is, a more prosperous society as a whole, said the Minister of Finance, Aleksandar Damjanović.
He welcomed the third-year students of the Faculty of Economics, who are starting a four-week internship at the Ministry today.
Damjanović, from the perspective of a former student of that faculty, assessed that, in addition to theory, the acquisition of practical knowledge in the field of economic sciences is extremely important for professional guidance.
He expressed his satisfaction that, in partnership with the Faculty of Economics, the doors of the Ministry of Finance were opened today for future economic and financial experts.
"On the basis of the contract on business and technical cooperation signed by two institutions, five students of the Microeconomics and Macroeconomics module will, during May, gain practical knowledge in the directorates for the state budget, state treasury, tax and customs system, central harmonization and development of internal controls, as well as and the economic and financial system", the announcement states.
Students doing internships within the Public Finance subject will be engaged in daily work and obliged to do a project task that will form part of the final grade given by the subject professor based on the opinion of the mentor and the report on the activities performed by the student.
