The partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is an example of effective cooperation, which ultimately contributes to the accelerated realization of Montenegro's strategic priorities, announced the Minister of Finance, Aleksandar Damjanović.

Today, he spoke with the permanent representative of UNDP in Montenegro, Daniela Gašparikova, who thanked her for the very constructive and open cooperation with the Ministry, emphasizing the expectation that it will continue in the future.

"The interlocutors referred to the joint successfully implemented projects so far, with the assessment that the cooperation will be extended to other areas, by prioritizing projects in the sphere of just transition and financing for sustainable development, while at the same time strengthening the national dialogue and the availability of information to citizens," it is stated in announcement of the Ministry.

In the context of activities that are the product of joint efforts, among other things, training programs in the areas of accrual accounting, public-private partnership and just transition were mentioned.

Damjanović said that he believes that, based on the good cooperation so far, the Ministry and UNDP will continue focused and proactive action in all reform areas.

In this regard, it was agreed that a working meeting will be held already in June, where the status of the existing and future activities that have already been discussed will be analyzed in detail.

The meeting was also attended by the State Secretary in the Ministry, Miloš Medenica, Assistant Permanent Representative of the UNDP for Montenegro, Dragana Radević, and the Manager of the Sector for Inclusive and Green Growth of the UNDP, Aleksandra Kiković.
