The Board of Directors of the "Regional Waterworks of the Montenegrin Coast" held its first session in Budva on Tuesday in its new composition, where it was concluded that the help of the Government is necessary in order for the water supply of the coastal municipalities to proceed smoothly in the coming period, without the introduction of restrictions or other forms of restrictions in water supply, caused by the reduced yield of the "Boljeestra" spring.
The Board adopted the "Annual Report on the Implementation of the Annual Work Plan with Financial Report for 2022", with the assessment that the Regional Waterworks, "despite the numerous challenges it was exposed to in 2022", realized all the obligations established by the Plan, which were in within his jurisdiction.
"Since the summer tourism season is just around the corner, the main focus of the Board of Directors was certainly on considering information and methods of water supply during the next summer season, and on that occasion it was noted that the Regional Water Supply has taken a number of measures with the aim of orderly water supply in the upcoming tourist season despite extraordinary conditions that this Society is facing," the announcement states.
They said that they will continue with activities to improve cooperation with local water companies on the coast, the ultimate goal of which is to provide optimal conditions for the delivery of high-quality water to the local population and visitors.
"It was concluded that it is necessary to ensure the realization of the proposed measures by the Regional Water Supply as soon as possible, in financial terms, for which the help of the Government of Montenegro is necessary, so that the water supply of the coastal municipalities in the coming period will proceed smoothly, without the introduction of restrictions or other forms of limitations in the water supply, caused by the reduced yield of the 'Boljesestre' spring," the announcement states.
