The airports of Montenegro have not been officially informed that the low-cost airlines "Ryanair" and "Wizzair" will not fly from Podgorica to Barcelona and Zagreb, respectively to Rome and Vienna, from November, but there are announcements that they will not operate those routes during part of the year.
This was officially told to "Vijesta" by the Airport and they pointed out that the opening of new airline routes can be counted on.
On the websites of these two loukost companies, flights from Podgorica to Barcelona, Zagreb, Rome and Vienna are available in October, but not in November.
"These companies operate according to a business model that is reflected in relatively frequent corrections related to frequencies and routes, and even changes related to bases," the Airport pointed out. They emphasize that they regularly update information on the status of existing and potential routes.
The Airport called on state authorities and the tourism industry to consider all measures to encourage year-round air traffic and added that they are also looking for space to strengthen existing and develop new routes.
