The Montenegrin Electric Distribution System (CEDIS) achieved historic results and was more than successful in very important business segments, such as reducing losses, CEO Vladimir Čađenović announced at the ceremony marking the seventh anniversary of the company's independent operation.
"The losses are at a record low level, and all with the aim of reaching the approved losses from the Regulatory Agency for Energy and Regulated Utilities (REGAGEN)", said Čađenović at an occasion ceremony in the Šipčanik Wine Cellar.
He added that this anniversary is not much different from the previous one, because the business circumstances related to the economic and energy crisis have not changed much.
"The period from last year to this birthday was full of great business challenges for the company. Despite numerous problems caused, first of all, by the negative impacts of the global energy crisis that has been going on for too long, CEDIS has invested a lot of effort, knowledge and resources to make the system work reliably and efficiently," said Čađenović.
In this sense, CEDIS, as a strategic company and an important link of the power system, has achieved good results in achieving its basic function as a distribution system operator - providing reliable and high-quality electricity supply to users.
Čađenović stated that the year was particularly marked by the focus of all human and material resources on the preparation of the summer and winter tourist season.
"We can be proud of that, because during that period we did not have a single failure on the network and we repaired every reported failure of the end cores in record time", said Čađenović and added that the indicators are such that they are in very important business segments, such as loss reduction, achieved historic results and were more than successful.
He said that the company will work hard to further improve operations and increase the quality of customer service.
"We are faced with increasing demands that need to be met in a short period of time, especially related to the growing number of active customers. It is important that everyone in the large chain of CEDIS, from electricians in the field to employees in support services, sees the importance of their own, but and other links. We are ready to achieve even better results united and guided by each other," said Čađenović.
CEDIS, as its representatives announced, is recognized as a socially responsible company, which not only allocates significant funds to help the community in which it operates, but also strives to position itself as a support that can be counted on in the long term.
Since its foundation, the company has adopted socially responsible business as the gold standard and only last year contributed through the realization of more than 100 projects in the fields of education, sports, ecology, science, health and culture. This was recognized by the professional public, so at the end of last year, CEDIS received an award for socially responsible business in the area of care for the community, in the category of large companies, awarded by the Employers' Union.
Marko Drobnjak, the chief engineer for project management, was chosen as the best employee of CEDIS this year, and Nikola Živković, the head of the Maintenance Service of Region 2, was chosen as the manager of the year.
In addition to the main ones, eight special Energy in the Heart awards were also given to the operator for monitoring the implementation of procurement contracts in the Commercial Affairs Sector, Veselinka Vuković, the public relations officer in the Corporate Communications Service, Filip Vojinović, the end user relations officer III - Sector for regulatory affairs and relations with users, Savo Raičević, network access technician in the Network Access Service of Region 2, Savo Kažić, Switchgear II in the Service for Local Network Management of Region 2, Saša Maraš, Chief Engineer in the Relay Protection Service in the Sector for maintenance of 20 kV and 35 kV, to Miljan Nenadić, specialist for property legal relations in the service of the same name, Dimitrije Drašković and chief engineer for measurement in the Measurement Sector of Region 4, Danilo Perović.
Drobnjak said that it was a great honor for him to be chosen as the best of the last year in addition to so many quality and hardworking people in CEDIS.
"I want to thank my superiors and colleagues for their extraordinary cooperation and support, without which this award would not exist. It is a privilege to work in such an environment," said Drobnjak.
Živković announced that it is nice when dedicated work is crowned with an award, especially when the award comes from colleagues.
"It is also more of a responsibility to continue better and stronger", said Živković.
The other awardees also thanked their colleagues who supported them on their way to success, stressing that without a good team there is no good individual. Acknowledgments are the result of joint, dedicated and responsible work and a motive for more in future work.
