Podgorica Airport has 20 percent more traffic than last year, Prime Minister Dritan Abazović said, and assessed that there will be more traffic in the coming period as well.
Abazović, answering questions from journalists after the session of the National Security Council, was asked about the state of the airports in Tivat and Podgorica, and said that the uproar is being raised because there are political interests of one political option.

"I have nothing against people forming a new government. "But I'm sorry when people who present themselves as civic activists, and are the bots of Europe now, raise a fuss about something they don't know," said Abazović.
He pointed out that Podgorica Airport has 20 percent more traffic than last year.
Abazović said that when Podgorica Airport was built, it was built so that from nine in the morning to 12:30, it could serve 300 arriving and 300 departing passengers, and on Sunday it served 1.003.
"There is a crowd at the Airport and thank God that there is, it shows that there are tourists in Montenegro. "Is our infrastructure fully responsive," said Abazović.
He stated that there is significantly more traffic at the Podgorica airport and significantly less traffic at the Tivat airport because there are no direct flights from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
"In the total traffic, we have one percent more traffic than the record year 2019, when it comes to the total traffic of people arriving," said Abazović.
Abazović assessed that there will be crowds in the coming period as well.
He said that the roof at the airport in Tivat has not been repaired since 2006.
"The tender for rehabilitation failed twice during the mandate of this government because no one wanted to do the rehabilitation. That's why we decided not to repair only that small part, but the entire roof. The tender is over, I expect the contractor to be chosen and to start working on it," Abazović said.
He believes that the Tivat airport should go under concession.
"Podgorica Airport needs to be financed with 85 million euros, in order to increase the capacity significantly. "I think it's the best thing, because we would have a state airport and a concessionaire," Abazović said.
He said that today the company To Montenegro has seven million euros in its account.
