For the period January 1 - June 30, 2023, the national parks achieved an income of EUR 874.747.70, which is an incredible 141,77% more than in the same period last year, when the income was EUR 361.811,50, the president announced. Government of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović.
"The number of visitors to our five parks for the first half of the current year increased to 201.149 people, which is 68,57% more than in the same period last year. For the sake of comparison, the income for January - June of the record year 2019 was 455.427 euros, and then 147.661 people visited the National Parks," said Abazović on Facebook.
He added that the trends are excellent and the above data are a clear indicator that we are boldly moving towards a record tourist season.
"I congratulate NPCG Director Vladimir Martinović and his team who, with a responsible attitude, fulfill their tasks perfectly. After the anti-poaching actions on Lake Skadar, this is another important indicator of how state assets are managed. We continue with the Montengero365 campaign and promote Montenegro as a green destination .We are on the right path," said Abazović.
