Since its opening, 2,16 million vehicles have passed through the priority section of the highway, and almost 8,75 million euros have been collected from toll collection in that period, it was announced from Monteput.
"Since the opening of the highway and the start of toll collection, that is, from July 21 of last year until Tuesday, almost 2,16 million vehicles passed through the highway, and the record number of vehicle passes was achieved on August 7 of last year, when the 14,33 thousand vehicles passed through the road", the announcement states.
The company reminded that tomorrow is one year since the priority section of the Bar-Boljare highway from Smokovac to Mateševo was put into traffic, and 18 years since the Sozina tunnel with access roads has been in operation.
Monteput published a video on his YouTube page showing several cases of violations of regulations, such as parking the vehicle in the tunnel to write graffiti, turning the vehicle in the tunnel, overtaking in the tunnel...
"Both one and the other facility, as parts of the unique highway we are aiming for, in their time frame represent significant road infrastructure facilities of particular importance for Montenegro," the announcement states.
Monteput, as they said, implemented all activities on personnel and technical training so that we perform tasks within the framework of our competence professionally, in the best possible way.
"Our goal in the coming period is to increase the number of users of electronic toll collection, which currently has a share of 15 percent of total toll collection, and we see room for a significant increase in this percentage." We are currently in the phase of improving the toll collection system, expanding the Mateševo tolling center, i.e. creating the necessary conditions to be ready to start promoting the use of ENP", said Monteput.
The price of the Tag device, as stated, is 20 euros, while the minimum payment to the user's account is 50 euros for individuals, or 112,5 euros for companies, and in this way users get a ten percent discount on the toll price.
"For the year, a total of 50 traffic accidents were recorded on the highway. There were no fatalities, with a total of 12 traffic accidents with injuries. A total of 13 people suffered minor injuries, and two people sustained serious injuries. In 38 traffic accidents, only material damage was recorded," they said from Monteputo.
Traffic stoppages were implemented after more serious incidents that require investigations and there were 14 cases of traffic closures, which lasted about an hour and a half on average.
Cooperation with the Police Administration and the Mobile Unit of the Traffic Police is, as it is added, at a high level.
"In the previous 12 months, a total of 2,23 thousand drivers were sanctioned for speeding violations, 35 drivers for violations due to the presence of alcohol in the body, 300 drivers for violations of unregistered vehicles, while 330 drivers were sanctioned for other violations," the announcement specifies.
44 people were deprived of their freedom for speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol.
On the priority section, Smokovac - Mateševo, the construction of two gas stations with accompanying facilities is planned.
"The tender documentation is being prepared. During September, we plan to publish a tender for the long-term lease of the location. After the selection of the most favorable offer and the conclusion of the contract, within a year we can expect that gas stations with accompanying facilities will be opened, which will complete the service on the highway", they said from Monteput.
Monteput is also preparing for the next sections of the highway.
In accordance with the Government's conclusion of May 18, funds were provided from the company's profits for the past year in the amount of 1,71 million euros for the development of the main project of the section of the Bar-Boljara highway, from Mateševo to Andrijevica.
"The preparation of the expropriation study for the Mateševo-Andrijevica valley is in the final stage. During the next year, we will start the land expropriation procedure, and in parallel with that, we expect the completion of the project documentation and the announcement of a tender for the execution of the works," said Monteput.
In the coming period, they are also planning to announce a tender for the preparation of the conceptual project for the section Andrijevica-Berane-Boljare.
