The government adopted the Program for encouraging direct investments in tourism and catering for this year, the aim of which, among other things, is to additionally create a more favorable business environment.
This more favorable business environment should, by encouraging investments in tourism and catering in all areas of Montenegro, contribute to improving the quality of the tourist offer, increasing competitiveness, diversifying the tourist product throughout the year, increasing tourist traffic, and thus creating new jobs.
"The estimated budget for the implementation of the program line for the procurement of high-value equipment for tourism is 1,5 million euros," the Government announcement states.
As emphasized in the discussion, the program line implies that the company finances 100 percent of all costs until the completion of the activity for which it is applying.
After the submitted documentation, which proves the expenditure of the funds of the contracted activity, the Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism approves the reimbursement of part of the costs up to 40 percent of the amount of justified costs without value added tax (VAT), in an amount not less than eight thousand, nor more than 80 thousand euros.
Reimbursement of part of the costs up to 50 percent of the amount of justified costs without VAT, in the amount of ten thousand to 100 thousand euros, is approved for companies owned by women, persons under the age of 35 and companies from less developed municipalities.
The Government instructed the Ministry to publish a public invitation in accordance with the Program.
The government also adopted the Information on the conclusion of the annex to the agreement on accession to the investment obligation between the Hotel Tourism Company (HTP) Ulcinjska Riviera and the Sunny Palace company.
"The annex changes the deadlines, which would start from the entry into force of the changes and additions to the urban planning project for the site of the Galeb Hotel in the Municipality of Ulcinj, so that the deadline of 18 months for the development of the main project has been shortened to 12 months," the announcement states.
