The number of mediations through the Employment Office increased seven times

In six months, the officers of the Employment Service (ZZZ) carried out 25.664 employment mediations for 16.652 persons from the unemployment register. In the same period last year, there were a total of 3.593 mediations for 2.789 people.

According to data from the semi-annual report, the number of mediations, that is, contacts with interested employers, increased by seven times compared to the same period last year. Thanks to the greater activities of the Institute, the number of employees is almost six thousand less than at the end of June last year and now amounts to 40,3 thousand.

The unemployment rate at the end of June this year was 17,37 percent, while in the same period last year it was 19,9 percent.

President of the Management Board of the Institute Dejan Vojvodic he told "Vijesti" that the new acting director of the Institute is responsible for these results Gzim Hajdinag and his management team, and that the weak result last year was caused by the inaction of the management at the time and very damaged interpersonal relations.

"Over 90 percent are the same chiefs as they were then, but now the interpersonal relations within the Institute have been significantly improved, as well as cooperation between services and with employers. We are doing much better, as the results show," said Vojvodić.

Better results were achieved in all regional units of the Institute and bureaus. The report shows that in the first half of last year, the regional unit in Rožaje carried out a total of eight mediations for six people, or one per month, and that now in the same service for the same period, 1.395 mediations were carried out for 1.250 people.

The number of mediations in Budva for the same comparative period increased from 32 to 517, from seven to 556 mediations, and from 20 to 328 in Plav.

In Cetinje, 64 mediations were carried out in six months last year, and now, while in Kotor, the number has increased from 60 to 708.

A big increase in numbers also happened in Podgorica in these six months, by about ten times. The number of mediations increased from 763 to 7.489.

Vojvodic said that in this period, due to the large number of lawsuits, they hired a new lawyer, as well as that the current indicators show that the claims of workers who are demanding payments of two million euros in lawsuits are not founded.

He also stated that the Institute withdrew lawsuits against the Capital City that could have cost the budget 400 euros and that the dispute will be resolved without costs.

He also said that the Montenegrin Employment Agency is now the only one in the region, and in the countries of the European Union, which is part of the state administration, while in all other countries it is an independent and independent institution, and that the independence it once had should be returned to this institution.

Most work permits for Russians and Turks

According to the data from the Institute's report, in six months, 14.091 work permits were issued to foreigners from established quotas, as well as another 7.469 permits outside the quotas. Of these, the most work permits were given to citizens of Russia, 7.412 or 34,3 percent of the total number. They are followed by citizens of Turkey who received 4.466 work permits. residents of Serbia received 3.921 work permits, Bosnia and Herzegovina received 1.157, and Albania received 924 work permits.
