The Ministry of Finance announced that by August 25, 4,37 million euros had been paid into the budget from part of the profits of majority state-owned companies.
Information about this was adopted at today's Government session, while the Minister of Finance, Aleksandar Damjanović, said that the current payment is 11 percent of the maximum and reiterated that only companies that have made a profit and meet the conditions are subject to this obligation, in this case 11 of them.
The government previously tasked state representatives in the management bodies of state-owned enterprises to pay 70 percent of last year's profits and 30 percent of 2021's profits into the budget, which would increase the state coffers by 40 million euros.
Damjanović mentioned Monteput with 2,16 million euros among the state enterprises whose profits will be directed to infrastructure projects.
Damjanović said that they also expect a payment from the system of Elektroprivreda of the Montenegrin electricity market operator (COTE), Space Protection, Posta, in the amount of 253 thousand euros.
In addition to those, among the state-owned enterprises that announced the adoption of decisions at the meeting of the Shareholders' Assembly in September, Damjanović mentioned Elektroprivreda with around 8,4 million euros and Hotel Group Budvanska Riviera 247 thousand.
"That is a total of 8,64 million and that would make a total of about 15,3 million euros, which will be directed in one way or another for infrastructure projects," he emphasized.
Damjanović clarified that they still expect a part of the dividend from CGES for 2021 and said that among the companies that did not take initiatives were "Sveti Stefan", JP "Morsko dobro", marina "Bar" and "Regional diving center for underwater demining" (RCPD).
He added that they submitted six conclusions stating the status of each of the companies, which gave the companies "Sveti Stefan" and "Morsko dobro" an additional deadline for payment due to previous obligations and problems of those companies. In addition, the Bar Marina and RCPD were told to initiate payment initiatives without delay.
