Activities in the priority reform measures for the first six months of this year have been partially implemented, while two measures have not been started, said State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance Ilija Vukčević.
He announced this at the Government session at which the Report on the Implementation of the Program of Economic Reforms for Montenegro for the first half of 2023 was adopted. commission in the process of EU integration. It consists of three key chapters: the macroeconomic framework, the fiscal framework and the chapter on structural reforms.
Vukčević said that one of the measures has not been started because the funds made available by the European Union are not yet operational since the contract has not been signed.
"It is expected that the contract will be signed at the end of September," he emphasized.
Vukčević clarified that the second measure is related to the adoption of the Law on Waste Management, and that it is expected that this act will be adopted in the third quarter of this year.
"Activities have started for the next report. A working group will be formed and new guidelines have been received from the European Commission," added Vukčević.
These reform measures include changes to the legislative framework, financial investments and sector support, as well as new institutional solutions, which create preconditions for private sector investments and the expansion of the production base.
