The Government adopted information on the conclusion of the Agreement on a guarantee for a credit arrangement between the Railway Transport of Montenegro (ŽPCG) and the Specialized Financial Institution for Financing the Procurement and Repair of Rolling Stock (EUROFIME) in the amount of two million euros.
The information was adopted at today's Government session, while the Minister of Finance, Aleksandar Damjanović, said that it is an investment in the overhaul of wagons and that this guarantee is provided for by the Law on the Budget for 2023.
State Secretary in the Ministry of Capital Investments (MKI) Admir Šahmanović said that after ten years, more serious investments in railway infrastructure have started.
"Last week, we applied for the Western Balkan Investment Framework with the project of financing the reconstruction of the railway from Podgorica to Bar, and asked for a grant of 112 million euros," he emphasized.
He added that they hope for a positive response from colleagues from the European Commission and that with the signing of collective agreements in this sector, the improvement of working conditions in this area will be achieved.
