The employees of the "Dr. Simo Milošević" Institute in Igalo were paid a one-time financial aid in the amount of 37.500 euros through the trade union organization, which was paid by the Municipality of Herceg Novi and the local tourist organization.
The President of the Employees' Union, Marija Obradović, said in the program "Mreža" on TVCG that the most vulnerable workers applied for this help, and they received 250 euros each.
"This aid is insignificant for our workers. We had 29 workers who will receive 250 euros each, and the rest was distributed to the remaining workers, who are 555, so they received 54 and a half euros each. It is not a special amount, but it will help the employees to pay at least one bill," she added.
Obradović said that they also turned to the Government for help, with a request to pay them from budget reserves.
"Unfortunately, we have not received an answer from the Government," Obradović said, recalling that the signing of petitions for the preservation of the Institute will also be organized in Podgorica next week.
She reminded that two salaries are already overdue for employees at the moment - July and August.
"Now it will be four months since the collective agreement has not been signed. The situation is urgent, autumn and winter await us, and I am not exaggerating when I say that," concluded Obradović.
