Today, the strike committee of the Post Office appointed its representative to the commission that should prepare an act on the minimum work process for the continuation of the strike in this company. This should be done by the company's management, and the third deciding vote will be from the Agency for Peaceful Dispute Resolution, "Vijesti" learns.
The formation of the commission was requested, on the basis of legal authorization, precisely by the Agency because, despite the legal obligation from 2015, the Post Office did not pass an act on the minimum work process, considering that it has a public interest.
That community should define what will be the minimum work process for the employees of this company during the strike.
The strike law defines that only the universal postal service, i.e. the distribution of letters, and not other activities such as the distribution of invoices, remittances, etc., are of public interest in the activities of the Post Office.
The president of the strike committee, Jugoslav Marković, said that yesterday they submitted to the Labor Inspectorate updated lists with new signatures of workers who support the strike and that they will do so every day.
"We also reported two new cases of pressure on employees to the labor inspectorate. In Berane, lists of employees who have to work were drawn up again, while in Kotor, an additional worker was employed through mediation agencies, which is also an example of breaking the law," said Marković.
The single trade union of the Post Office, with around 450 workers, went on strike on Monday because negotiations with the management on a 30 percent salary increase failed. The salaries of postmen and counter workers are now around 550 euros and are the lowest in the public sector.
