On the occasion of the latest events in AD Port of Adria (PoA), which "Vijesti" wrote about, the SDP Bar Municipal Board asked the President of the Municipality, Dr. Zoran Srzentić, to convene a session of the Bar Municipality Assembly in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the SO. Assessing that such events are deplorable and unacceptable, the Bar SDP asked whether Bar is thus becoming a "colony and training ground for various tricks in privatization".
The SDP in Bar also indicates that the SO Bar has no right to keep silent and turn a blind eye to this, and that it cannot be invoked that it is not within its jurisdiction, because this issue "cannot be the exclusive right" of the Government or the Parliament of Montenegro, "and I guess it is not about a company from Papua New Guinea”.
"According to our knowledge, contacts with unions and employees and according to media reports, the executive management of the POA in the implementation of the determination of the so-called technological surplus behaves as if it was left over from his great-grandfather. Unprecedented torture towards employees is clearly present, seasoned with ultimatums and according to the system" take it or leave it", where no means are chosen, with a display of aggression, insolence and persecution of people in our own country. We emphasize that this is not a political or any kind of plot against the director of PoA Mr. Kara, or any other serious investor in Bar or Black It is burning, but our duty as political subjects and elected representatives of the people dictates that we deal with this in a serious and responsible manner, certainly with the help of state authorities, if they have the will to do so, from which they have not wavered so far," the statement said. was signed by Bar SDP president Dragan Vojvodić.
Pointing out that the SDP's initiatives that the Government, i.e. the line ministry and the Port Authority check and control how the PoA executes the concession contract "remain a dead letter", Vovodić added that in this party they believe that it is not advisable to "play games without borders" with employees of PoA, "and not only with them".
"These are our fellow citizens who honestly earned a crust of bread in this and other companies, as well as their predecessors. Do we have the right to turn a deaf ear to their humiliating position in their native country? It is the duty of the SO Bar to declare this and that, as and in the case of preventing the sale of AD Luka Bar, stop the unprecedented extortion that is being carried out on employees. Representatives of the trade union and executive management of PoA, the relevant ministry and the Port Authority, representatives of the Parliament of Montenegro from Bar and the non-governmental sector dealing with port transport should be unconditionally invited to this session and logistics," Vojvodic added.
The announcement also states that "a special story" is the company that after privatization "does not fulfill its contractual obligations, falsifies financial reports and instead of hiring people - harasses employees".
"And at the same time, he forces them to resign, leaving them "generously" two whole days to "declare" themselves and their families' fate. It is possible that someone thinks that the patience of this people has no end. Sometimes, everything comes to an end, so We are deeply convinced that this unprecedented looting and looting of Montenegro will come to an end," concluded Vojvodic.
