Members of the Board of Directors of the Pljevlja Coal Mine, Miloš Ostojić and Tamara Cmiljanić, announced that the President of the Pljevlja Municipality, Dario Vraneš, and the Director of the Secondary Vocational School, Bojan Strunjaš, presented a series of falsehoods against them during yesterday's meeting in Pljevlja.
Vraneš, from the gathering organized by the self-proclaimed Committee for the Defense of the Rights of the Serbian People in Montenegro, called on the Board of Directors to elect Miodrag Lekić as director and "not to play with the people and the fate of Pljevljak".
Strunjaš said at that meeting that Ostojić, who was recently elected as the president of the Board of Directors, is advocating for the mine to be closed on behalf of his NGO.
In the joint statement of Ostojić and Cmiljanić, it is stated that Ostojić said at the meeting of the Board of Directors that the reason for voting for Mihailo Potpara is that he has "has a wider range of work experience" than other candidates and that "he has the best managerial and entrepreneurial skills for the position of executive director".
"We would like to point out that all the candidates had good references for the position in the company, but we had to choose the best one. We emphasize that there was no pressure on the members of the Board of Directors - Miloš Ostojić and Tamara Cmiljanić, from the Vice President of the Government of Montenegro, Dragoslav Šćekić, as which was claimed yesterday by the president of the Municipality of Pljevlja and the candidate for the executive director, Milan Lekić. Also, the statements of the president of the Municipality of Pljevlja that we told him 'that we have to do as Dragoslav Šćekić told us' are untrue. President of the Municipality and directors of the Secondary Vocational School, yesterday you spoke in a 'language' that does not befit academic citizens and part of your speech addressed to us, as members of the Board of Directors, is subject to criminal-legal responsibility", stated Ostojić and Cmiljanić.
They also add that the claims that they questioned the existence of Pljevlja are untrue.
"On the contrary, the newly elected director will work for the benefit of all the citizens of Pljevlja, not only the politically eligible, respecting the principle of household management of the company. We will agree on only one thing, and that is that neither Podgorica nor Berane should decide on the fate of the citizens of Pljevlja, and also we point out that Nikšić will also not influence the fate of Pljevlja, i.e. that your party colleague failed to save the chair for his party friend through pressure and phone calls. procedure. The inappropriate and threatening rhetoric addressed to us as members of the Board never swayed us to make the right decision for the benefit of the company and the citizens of Pljevlja".
