For the continuation of the operations of the Coal Mine, concrete activities are necessary in the direction of solving some issues of crucial importance, and in this sense, the company's management has the support of the Department of Energy and Mining and the Government as a whole, said the relevant minister, Saša Mujović.
At the meeting with the newly elected director of the Pljevlja Coal Mine, Mihail Potpar and his associates, he stated that the company is an important resource, with huge potential, but also with a lot of challenges that must be resolved as soon as possible.
"I expect results, I expect concrete proposals and activities, the support of the Ministry of Energy and Mining will not be absent, but I expect full commitment from both management and other related entities. We are on a joint task, because we have a serious job ahead of us," said Mujović.
Today, he had the opportunity to get acquainted with the dynamics of the implementation of the project of shifting the flow of the Ćehotina river, the planning documentation related to this important segment, which must be started and implemented as soon as possible.
"Apart from this project and the management's business plans for the next year, the topic of discussion was the ecological reconstruction of the Pljevlja thermal power plant, the potential for the construction of some other economic entities, such as a cement plant and a lime plant," the Ministry's announcement states.
The interlocutors agree that, bearing in mind the industrial character of this municipality, it is important to create prerequisites for the further development of economic activities, bearing in mind the transition that is expected after the termination of the operation of the thermal power plant, that is, the exploitation of fossil fuels.
In addition to the director of Potpara, the meeting was attended by the director for development and investments Jagoš Gomilanović and the director of production Milinko Gazdić, who presented current development projects, data on production, production processes, and business in general.
The common conclusion is that there are challenges in the administrative and bureaucratic part of project development, and it is necessary to speed up procedures and thus speed up the dynamics of implementation.
As Mujović stated, it is obvious that it is urgent and as soon as possible to establish better coordination among the government departments, as well as other relevant state institutions.
"In order to solve all the challenges that are already in front of us, as well as those that await us, the maximum operational efficiency of both economic entities and state institutions is required, we will insist on this from the beginning of work in this mandate, I as the relevant minister, as well as Prime Minister Milojko "Spajić, who provides full support and expects commitment and responsibility for the assumed obligations", said Mujović.
According to him, the challenges are great, but the data and plans he heard give him the right to believe that by working together, many things will get better.
