The president of the municipality of Pljevlja, Dario Vraneš, signed with the beneficiaries nine contracts for the support and encouragement of entrepreneurship and tourism and the support and encouragement of female entrepreneurship.
Thirteen people from Pljevlja with different business ideas applied to the public call announced by the Secretariat for the Economy, and nine of them received financial support.
"The municipality of Pljevlja allocated 45.000 euros this year, which is 50 percent more money than last year. The expert committee chose the best, and I am especially happy that there are four women among them, which encourages the development of female entrepreneurship. Business plans are from different categories, from hairdressers, butchers, printers, tourism... Our goal is to provide support and expand the offer with different activities in order to bring people from other regions to our city", said Vraneš.
In addition to the president, the signing of the contract was also attended by the acting secretary of the secretariat for the economy, Danko Sarančić, and the head of the service for entrepreneurship, Rajko Palibrk.
Support and incentives for the development of entrepreneurship and tourism are granted to registered entrepreneurs and small and micro enterprises from the private sector with up to 50 employees, whose headquarters are on the territory of the Municipality and with settled taxes and contributions for the previous year, in which women are the owners of the business - the founder or one of the founders or that a woman is the CEO.
The priority areas for which financial support has been approved are entrepreneurship and tourism in rural areas, final production, semi-production and processing, and craft activities.
In the call for the allocation of funds, it is stated that the Municipality will not support business plans that are under the jurisdiction or responsibility of the Government, such as formal education, formal health care, business plans that request financial resources for the purchase and distribution of humanitarian aid, business plans that exclusively based on the one-time creation, preparation and printing of books, brochures, newsletters, magazines and the like, if the publication of such publications is not part of a wider program or more comprehensive and continuous activities. Activities that are considered illegal or harmful to the environment and dangerous to human health are also not supported: games of chance, tobacco, alcoholic beverages (except for the production of wine and fruit brandies), immoral and illegal activities.
Entrepreneurs cannot use the money that the Municipality allocates for these purposes to purchase real estate, lease office space, employee wages...
One entrepreneur could compete with a maximum of two business plans, and financial support was only approved for one business plan.
The maximum amount of allocated funds for one business plan cannot exceed 50 percent of the total amount of budget funds provided for that purpose.
