The government will make maximum efforts to make Pljevlja a leader in the development process, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić said.
Spajić, together with the Ministers of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property and Mining and Energy, Janko Odović and Saša Mujović, visited the Municipality of Pljevlja, where they met with the local leadership and management of the Coal Mine and the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG).
"Pljevlja will receive the attention it has long deserved. We will make maximum efforts so that this city takes a leadership position in the development process - just as it deserves", said the Prime Minister at the meeting with the President of the Municipality Dario Vraneš.
The Government announced that at the meeting with the management of the Coal Mine, the company's operations were discussed, with a special emphasis on the Ćehotina River Bed Relocation project.
"This project is important and as such is at the top of the priorities of the Ministry of Energy and Mining. You will have our full support", Mujović said.
It is stated that during the discussion with representatives of EPCG, it was assessed that the company is in a great investment position, which is confirmed by projects worth around 100 million euros, among which are: Ecological reconstruction of the Thermal Power Plant, Heating and construction of the Otilovići Hydroelectric Power Plant.
It is added that representatives of the management of the two companies informed Spajić about the business and expressed their satisfaction with the business results, which give reason for optimism.
"At the meetings, it was assessed that it is necessary to intensify activities on better valorization of energy potentials with a special emphasis on compliance with the obligations from negotiation chapter 27," the announcement says.
It was said that the close cooperation of the Government, local self-government and the economy is a sure way of development that will make the life of the citizens of Pljevlja better and better.
