Member of the Board of Directors of the Post Office Stojan Sjekloć, was dismissed from the Post Office for the post of manager of logistics, processing and distribution.
The Post Office told "Vijesta" that Sjekloća was fired after a disciplinary procedure was carried out due to serious violations of work obligations from the Collective Agreement regarding members related to "unjustified failure to act on the order of the immediate manager", "abuse of position or exceeding authority" and "violent , improper or offensive behavior towards customers or employees or display of any form of intolerance".
However, Sjeloća states that the dismissal is the culmination of two years of mobbing and discrimination to which he was exposed because, as a member of the board of directors, he did not agree with certain decisions of the executive management. He said that the immediate reason for his dismissal was that on August 28 he initiated disciplinary proceedings against two female workers, who are related to officials, due to violations of work obligations, and that everything culminated in his public appearance in "Vijesti" regarding the recent strike in Mail.
In a statement to "Vijesta" on October 10, Sjeloća mentioned several bad decisions of the company's management that caused damage to the Post. He also talked about the party's employment of non-workers, nepotism, as well as possible savings that would improve the company's financial condition.
When asked by "Vijesti" why Sekulić was fired, the company's management stated that on September 15, at the initiative of the director of the Logistics, Processing and Distribution Sector, a procedure was carried out to determine responsibility for the violation of work obligations, as well as that the decision to terminate the employment relationship adopted on October 27.
"It is true that Sjekloća is a member of the Board of Directors, but this fact has no influence on the adoption of a different decision in this legal matter, given the fact that, according to the assessment of the Post of Montenegro, his responsibility for violating the work obligation was undisputedly established in the proceedings", they stated from this company.
They also expressed their "regret that the member of the management body, with his attitude towards his work duties, as well as his colleagues, has put the Post Office in a situation where it has to take measures prescribed by law as a sanction for such behavior".
Sjeloća states that the decision on termination of employment, which was signed by the executive director Josip Đurašković, from October 27 duly taken over on November 6.
"The decision was made in agreement with the director of the Business and Logistics Center Žarko Vucinić, his daughter-in-law Anom Vučinić i Jelena Jovanović, the daughter of the longtime secretary of the police director, against whom I previously filed an initiative on August 28 of this year to initiate disciplinary proceedings, due to violation of work obligations. The dismissal represents the culmination of two years of mobbing and discrimination to which I have been exposed from the "top management" and the chairman of the Board of Directors Igor Bulatović, which culminated in my public appearance on the occasion of the recent strike at the Post Office. However, the next day there was a real 'hunt' after me from Podgorica, via Crmnica to Bar, to hand over the second corrected - backdated decision because they overlooked that I worked until November 1, when I was on sick leave. And this fact speaks of the confusion of this ground work, which the majority of Posta lawyers were against, pointing out the harmful consequences", Sjekloća states.
He says that "he indignantly rejects all three items - the accusations stated in the decision as unfounded, illegal and malicious".
"As such, they will be argued before the competent Court. The purpose of this decision is not to deny me, at this age, only the right to work, a decent existence, but also to defile me morally. It certainly discredits me as a member of the Board of Directors, when they have already failed to discipline me. In addition, it should instill fear in every employee of the Post Office who thinks of questioning any decision of the 'top management' and the president of the OD", said Sjekloća.
Sjekloća was supported by the Unified Post Office Union, which also demanded answers from the management about the reasons for the dismissal.
Sekloća: If I were to share praises, there would be daily allowances, incentives, trips...
Sjekloća states that he might not have been dismissed if he had accepted the vocabulary and methods of treatment of the "top management" towards... "ungrateful strikers, bungees, idlers, gamblers, drunkards, traitors of the Post Office, who are encouraged by opposition parties and individuals, and who are not nothing should be satisfied, because they are ungrateful for everything that has been done and is being done for them.''
"Even if I supported the executive director's proposal for 'organizing catering' during the given break or going to a restaurant on Zlatica', while the workers' representatives at their own expense, 'get drunk and forget they came'..., maybe it would have belonged to me too stimulus carried out by the method of overtime and daily wages, not dismissal", said Sjekloća.
He also states that he might have been spared if he hadn't asphalted the canal in the vicinity of the PLC, which "ideally served frequent damage and repairs of official vehicles"...
"And if only I had voted, and I didn't, for the first debt of the Post Office of two million euros, if I had given up on reviewing numerous 'small and large' purchases, fusheraj-adaptations, renovations, fake whitewash, closets of three boards over 2.000 euros, enormous expense for office supplies,...etc. There would also be an official trip or seminar with rich per diems for me. There would also be 2-3 tons of questionable fuel at the time of the 'lost' warranty of Ekopetrol. I would be especially 'cool' to share the praises of the enormous employment, with special reference to the Central Integrated Business Information System, worth 1.868.755,22 euros, which even the EU Post Office does not have", said Sjekloća.
He says that instead of those "benefits" he decided to "interfere in his work", and that he hopes that the competent state institutions will also get involved.
"The only thing I am responsible for, and I am not held accountable anywhere, is that as a member of the Board of Directors, I accepted condescending requests to vote for Đuraškovic as executive director, even though I saw him for the first time on June 14. I will try to correct the mistake by initiating responsibility and dismissal in the interest of the Post", said Sjekloća.
