Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) will provide a discount for all consumers so that citizens do not feel the increase in the price of electricity.
This decision was made in order to neutralize the impact of the increase in the amount of bills for end consumers, based on the request of CEDIS, announced the Ministry of Energy and Mining.
"The discount for all categories of regular payers has been agreed, and at the proposal of Minister Mujović, with EPCG representatives, and will be valid until March 31, 2024, when it will continue for all consumers up to the 500 kw category, which includes the majority of consumers in Montenegro ", the statement of the ministry reads.
In this way, as stated in the announcement, Mijović canceled the increase in bills to consumers based on the regulatory allowed income of CEDIS, of 5,63 percent approved by RAE.
"Citizens will not feel that increase now, thanks to the engagement of Minister Mujović, who came across the understanding of EPCG. We remind you that Minister Mujović announced that he would take concrete measures in order to find an optimal model for the protection of consumers and their household budget with the leadership of EPCG, and that this decision is the result good cooperation and understanding between the department of energy and the largest energy entity in the country," the ministry announced.
