The unrealized 2,95 million euros of Monteput's profit for 2021 and last year will be diverted for the preparation of project documentation and administrative-technical work for highways and expressways and the Budućnost Basketball Club, it was decided at the Government session.
As announced, 2,45 million euros of Monteput's profits are distributed to the company for the preparation of project documentation for the Adriatic-Ionian highway, as well as administrative and technical work for highways and expressways.
The remaining 500 euros will be paid to contribute to the development of sports, as a sponsorship of the Budućnost basketball club from Podgorica.
The Government approved the Bill on Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the construction of an interstate bridge over the Tara River at the junction of the M3 highway at Šćepan Polje and the M-18 highway at the Hum location and connecting border sections.
The Government reminded that the agreement, which was signed in Kranj on July 5, 2021, defined the basic principles of cooperation between the signatory parties in order to successfully implement the project and in the shortest possible time, in order to contribute to the improvement of traffic connectivity and take advantage of the opportunities provided by the Economic and investment plan of the European Commission for the Western Balkans.
As they said, for the financing of this project, according to preliminary estimates, about 2,5 million euros are needed.
"Each side bears 50 percent of the total costs, with the tendency to provide appropriate grants from available EU funds," the announcement states.
At today's session, the Proposal for a Law on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Council of Ministers of Albania on the construction of an interstate bridge over the Bojana/Buna River was determined.
The agreement was signed in Podgorica on February 27, at a joint session of the governments of the two countries.
In the discussion, it was pointed out that the goal of this project is to improve the traffic connection between Montenegro and Albania by creating conditions for the maximum use of natural and cultural potential, as well as strengthening the economic and social development of the region.
