The lack of snow is taking its toll again, so cancellations of reservations in Kolašin's private accommodation are massive.
Zorica Milašinović, director of the local Tourist Organization (TO), told "Vijesta" that.
According to previous announcements, that is, reservations, during January the occupancy of accommodation facilities in that city should have been almost 100%. However, the TO director explains, there are currently guests in hotels, while private accommodation is empty.
"Unfortunately, very few guests stay in Kolašin, mostly in hotels. In private accommodation, reservations are massively canceled, often only 24 hours before the planned arrival of the guests. It turned out, as we estimated, that the number of tourists will depend on the snow. We hope that the rest of the winter, thanks to the precipitation, similar to last year, will make up for it," she said.

There were also cancellations of reservations in private accommodation during the New Year holidays, claims the owner of Tango Apartments, Duško Raketić. In the facility he owns, he explains, all the apartments are currently empty. Raketić also expects that guests will arrive with the snow in the coming period.
TO claims that they are trying to make up for the lack of snowfall with non-boarding offers, as much as possible. They remind us that the New Year's bazaar on Trg boraca is still going on, the Winter Art guitar festival is coming up, and support for the traditional winter events - the Bjelasic and Sinjavin marathons - is planned.
TO, in cooperation with the National Tourist Organization (NTO), the Municipality, the Ski Resorts of Montenegro, the Hotel Bianca Resort&Spa and the organization Skyrunning from Serbia, will be the organizer of the Kolašin SkySnow race this winter. That race, which will open the skyrunning league of Montenegro and Serbia, will be held on February 24 at the Kolašin 1600 Ski Resort and represents, according to TO, "something completely new on the Montenegrin market."
TO previously announced that they will try to organize bus transportation from the city center to the ski resort with a greater number of rotations for the needs of tourists during the winter season. This type of transport, they expect, will affect the reduction of crowds to the ski center.
