On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić spoke with Vice President of POSCO Group Lije Džejvan, and on that occasion presented investment opportunities and said that the Government is trying to ensure the predictability of the business environment, as well as legal certainty, through "a series of reforms".
"Through a series of planned reforms, we are improving the business environment in order to give full momentum to our economy in cooperation with credible investors," said Spajić, as announced by his cabinet.
He also presented the plan for the development of the network of highways, railways, the airport and the port of Bar until 2030, for which, as stated, interest has been expressed by the POSCO group, bearing in mind that, as they pointed out, significant investments will also be made high demand for steel.
The meeting discussed investments in Željezar Nikšić, and the POSCO group expressed interest in continuing communication regarding potential cooperation, according to the announcement.
Džejvan, they added from Spajić's cabinet, said that POSCO is also committed to renewable energy sources by using the most modern technologies. "We witnessed the exponential development of Korea in the 80s and 90s, and were only a crucial part of a large investment cycle in Korean infrastructure," he said.
"At the meeting, it was agreed that the teams from Montenegro and Korea will consider further steps and potential cooperation between the Korean giant and EPCG", the announcement concludes, reminding that POSCO Group owns one of the largest steel plants in South Korea.
