Member of the Social Democrats (SD) Branislav Nenezić pointed out that JP Morsko is well behind schedule in establishing the procedure for renting beaches on the Montenegrin coast, which is extremely complex, especially in light of preparations for the upcoming summer tourist season, the SD announced.
"At today's meeting of the Board of Directors of JP 'Morsko dobro', the new rental regulations were not adopted, which calls into question the upcoming tourist season in Montenegro, i.e. its "benefits". Chaos awaits our coast," Nenezić said.
"Taking into account the fact that the creation of the Atlas of Bathing Areas is still ongoing, even though it should have been completed in November, that the same Atlas of Bathing Areas needs approval from the competent ministry and municipalities after its adoption, it is clear that the potential tendering will coincide with the beginning of the tourist season," he added.
Nenezić said that in addition to that, the new rulebook of the mall was intended to put the previous tenants who had invested large amounts of money in their buildings years ago in a "subordinate" position.
"Is it a 'political showdown' between the old and new government, i.e. the prime minister, or is the change in the Atlas of the Baths a planned introduction of some "new tenants" to attractive locations? We fear that in both cases the epilogue will be the same, there will be devastation this economic activity, which is the 'lifeblood' of a quality tourist offer," said the SD deputy.
"The task is on the Government and the competent ministry to come to a conclusion and send it to the Board of Directors and try to save the upcoming season by extending the existing contracts under the same conditions for one year. Otherwise, we will consciously 'shoot' the only healthy leg of the Montenegrin economy," he concludes. in the announcement.
