The National Tourist Organization of Montenegro (NTO Montenegro) presented the tourist offer of the destination on International specialized fair for active tourism in Munich – one of the most visited fairs in the southern part of Germany, which gathered over 140 thousand visitors.
During the five days of the fair, the greatest interest of visitors was directed towards various camping opportunities, hiking and cycling trails, and exploring the untouched nature of the north of Montenegro. Visitors enthusiastically emphasized the beauty of natural landscapes and the variety of activities that the destination offers.
"Our company has around 22 million members who visit Europe and the world by personal transport. Although ADAC employees have a lot of information about Montenegro, starting from March this year, 3 training sessions are planned to familiarize them with the history, cities, gastronomic offer of the destination and much more," she said. Montenegro was additionally presented on the main stage of the largest radio and television station in Bavaria - BR TV, highlighting its peculiarities and diversity in terms of active vacations. In addition, the Montenegrin stand was visited by the presenter of the German radio station Sunray, Torsten Gehrke, who will visit Montenegro and present the listeners with all the possibilities it offers.
"We are planning our vacation from Italy, Greece, all the way to Montenegro. I think this will be a wonderful experience in Montenegro. A country with so many regions, beaches, national parks and mountain peaks must be interesting. I am sure that it will be fun to drive through Montenegro, and I hope that our listeners will like it and will visit it", said Gehrke.
Local tourism organizations, the tourism industry and the strategic partner of NTO Montenegro - the national airline Air Montenegro, provided visitors with all the necessary information about flights, tourist attractions, accommodation, gastronomy and adventure activities that they can experience in Montenegro.
"This year, Air Montenegro is at the fair in Munich for the first time, where we had the opportunity to present our new upcoming line Podgorica - Munich, which starts in June this year, as well as the existing line Podgorica - Frankfurt. We are satisfied with the interest of this market in Montenegro", said the marketing manager of Air Montenegro. Mina Muković Radonjić.
As part of the fair, the national airline Air Montenegro, in cooperation with the NTO of Montenegro, organized a prize game for visitors to the fair, in which two return tickets on the Munich - Podgorica route were awarded. Prize winner, Bopple Victoria, points out that she has never been to Montenegro and that she is looking forward to this trip and new experience.
Director of the tourist organization Prijestonica Cetinje and member of the Executive Board of the NTO of Montenegro, Nikola Jablan, says that the Kotor - Lovćen cable car, the natural beauty of the Lovćen and Skadar lake national parks, as well as the Lipska cave attracted the special attention of visitors to the fair.
"Montenegro has a huge natural potential for the development of active tourism. It is necessary to work more intensively on the creation of preconditions, primarily the development of road infrastructure and air connections between Montenegro and Germany", said Jablan.
Sabina Ramovic in front of the RAMS tourist agency, she said that she is participating in this fair for the second time, and that it is a very interesting market.
"Participation in the previous fair proved to be very successful. And what is interesting is that compared to the fair last year, now German tourists know much more about Montenegro and how they want to use their vacation," said Ramović.
At the fair, the strategic partner NTO Montenegro - the national airline Air Montenegro, the local tourist organizations of Mojkovac, Bara, Ulcinj and Cetinje, the National Parks of Montenegro, Eneida apartments, as well as the travel agencies Rams and Balkan Adventure - presented their offer.
