The government has all the arguments in its hands to terminate the Concession Agreement for detailed geological research and exploitation of sulphide polymetallic ore (Pb, Zn, Cu, Fe S2 and other accompanying metal sulphides) in the exploration and exploitation area of the former "Brskovo" mine, announced from Civic Initiatives (GI) Hello Mojkovac.

They remind that in accordance with the Government's conclusion, i.e., the decision of January 19 this year, they were obliged to provide an expert analysis of the contract and that, as they say, that analysis showed that it was "absolutely illegal, absolutely harmful with incalculable consequences for health , the environment and the economy of the local community". That is why, explained from GI, Miodrag Fuštić, their representative in the interdepartmental team, proposed the termination of the contract, in accordance with Article 34 of the basic contract.

"Appreciating the possibility that our representative Miodrag Fuštić participates in the interdepartmental working team for the preparation of an expert analysis of violations of the Contract and other accompanying documents, formed by the Government of Montenegro and the Ministry of Energy and Mining, we are obliged to inform the public and citizens of Mojkovac about the events. Considering that at this stage the process is classified as "internal" secrecy, and our representative is not allowed to give details about the current process, we consider it very important that the voice of the local community be heard before the final decision of the Government. At this moment, we do not know whether our proposed conclusion has been put to a vote and, if so, whether it will enter the final version of the expert analysis. But we can say with certainty that there won't be any mines", said Zdravi Mojkovac from GI.

As they announced from that GI, they appreciate and welcome the effort "that the interdepartmental team put in last month, as well as the decision of the Government and the relevant minister Saša Mujović to form a team that will look at all available documents and thus indicate to the Government the direction in which it should is going when it comes to the potential project of the Brskovo mine".

"We most welcome the efforts of our representative who presented the multitude of arguments, on which we all worked together for the previous 10 months, in front of the team and the public and who bore the main burden in front of all of us for discovering numerous information, among other things about gold, that was not shown and that is an offshore company. We are happy that the work of this team has finally been completed and we believe that the analysis, which will lead to the termination of the contract, contains all the arguments that we submitted. From the multitude of arguments, we have chosen key and irrefutable ones," said GI Zdrava Mojkovac.

Because of all this, as they assessed, "the government has all the arguments in its hands to terminate this absolutely illegal and absolutely harmful contract". GI told some ministers, who they claim are "known for associating with concessionaires" that by voting against terminating the contract "they will be participating in the robbery of national resources and endangering citizens and nature".

"Don't try to trick us. There won't be any mines", concluded from GI Zdravi Mojkovac.
