The government of Dritan Abazović managed to reduce the public debt of Montenegro to the limit of the Maastricht criteria of 60 percent, to simultaneously service all the state's obligations and to leave the state coffers in surplus, said the head of the Media Team of the Civic Movement URA Boško Laketić.
He reacted to the statements of the MP of the Europe now movement, Tonćij Janović, who said that "the debts of the 43rd Government of 100 million euros, at a record interest rate of 11 percent, caused great damage to the entire economy" and that "it will never happen again". .
"The Europe Movement continues to insult the logic of all citizens. According to PES MP Tonći Janović, it seems that the debt of 100 million of the Government of Dritan Abazović during its entire mandate is much higher than the debt of over 800 million euros implemented by the Government of Milojko Spajić in just a few months - I leave it to the citizens to judge for themselves what the truth is," said Laketić.
He adds that unlike Vlado Abazović, Spajić "will drastically increase the public debt of Montenegro again in just a few months with this kind of borrowing."
"We announced that Spajić's government would owe the state of Montenegro more than one billion euros, but we also had no idea that it would happen so quickly, and especially not secretly, far from the public eye," said Laketić.
He concluded that the conclusion emerges from everything that the new government is "quickly and secretly working to implement Spajić's announcements about the bankruptcy of Montenegro".
