Laketić with representatives of AmCham: Cooperation to improve the business climate

The Tax Administration (TA) and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Montenegro will further enhance cooperation, with the aim of improving the business climate.

The Acting Director of the PU, Sava Laketić, spoke today with the representatives of AmCham in Montenegro, that is, the President of the Board of Directors, Svetlana Vuksanović, the Executive Director, Marko Miročević, and the Policy Manager, Ana Marija Simonović.

"At the meeting, the possibility of contributing to the creation of a stable and predictable business environment and the readiness for closer cooperation to mutual satisfaction were discussed," according to the PU announcement.

Laketić emphasized the importance of reforming the tax system and strengthening tax discipline, as well as improving the work process, which will result in absolute efficiency, measurable results, transparency, indiscriminate treatment and an institution that is a service to the economy, not a business barrier.

AmCham representatives emphasized that transparency and timeliness, along with the involvement of the business community in the creation and changes of the tax policy, are important for applicability in practice, and that the cooperation of the two institutions in that segment is crucial.

AmCham once again confirmed their willingness to intensify cooperation through adequate support that the Chamber and its membership can provide, all with the aim of improving the business climate in Montenegro.
