Elektroprivrede Crne Gore (EPCG) will announce today a new international public call for the lease of the steel plant and forge plant, within the company EPCG Željezara Nikšić. This is what EPCG assistant financial director Miro Vračar told "Vijesta".

At the first call for the lease of ironworks, three applications arrived - in addition to the Swiss company, there were offers from the company Neksan Miodrag Daka Davidović in a consortium with the Chinese Universal Energy and the Czech Energy & Industrial Management Advisory Services and the Swedish consortium Kvalitets Bygg - Uber Nordic.

As previously announced by EPCG, the consortium of companies from the Czech Republic, China and Nexan, and the Swedish consortium, dropped out due to the unacceptable conditions they set for the management of EPCG, while the representative of the Swiss company, Igor Shamiz, submitted the most concrete offer so far.

The Bid Evaluation Committee includes representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Mining, EPCG and EPCG of the Nikšić Željezara.

The first public invitation provided for a lease of at least five years, with the possibility of extension, and the minimum amount of rent is 30.000 euros per month.

In February of last year, EPCG founded a subsidiary company EPCG Željezara, after buying that factory for 20 million euros from the Turkish Tosjali Holding.

The Agency for the Protection of Competition established a few days ago that Elektroprivreda violated the Law on the Control of State Aid by concluding a contract with the Turkish company Tosčelik.
